Adult care homes, children’s home providers and domiciliary care agencies: Complete your Self Assessment of Service Statement (SASS)

If you run an adult care home, a children’s home or a domiciliary care agency, you must complete your SASS.

We’ve written to providers of adult care home, children’s homes and domiciliary care agencies to let them know that they are required to complete and submit their SASS using CSSIW Online (External link) by 15 November 2017.

You will need to complete the SASS regardless of whether your service is currently operating. This is the first time that providers of domiciliary care agencies have been asked to complete their SASS using CSSIW Online.

Why do we need this information?

We will use this information to prepare for implementation of the Regulation and Inspection of Social Care (Wales) Act by confirming registration details are up to date and correct.  This will enable us to identify any inaccuracies now and address these before the transition process for the Act.

When is the deadline?

If you run an adult care home, a children’s home or a domiciliary care agency you must complete your SASS by 15 November.

If you do not receive a letter from us or if you are having technical problems with the website or activating your CSSIW Online account, for example if your activation PIN is not working, please email cssiw.online@wales.gsi.gov.uk or call us on 0300 025 6222 (English) or 0300 025 6111 (Welsh)
