We’ve written to all childcare and play providers in Wales to let them know that they need to complete their SASS part two which includes a Quality of Care Review online by 28 July.
Why do we need this information?
The information is required to assist us with the inspection of your service and to monitor your compliance with the Child Minding and Day Care (Wales) Regulations 2010.
Your service’s Quality of Care Review and completion of SASS part two also fulfils your legal duty under regulation 16 of the Child Minding and Day Care (Wales) Regulations 2010.
Before you start

I did not complete or submit SASS part one, what do I need to do?
SASS part one took place last summer. If you did not complete and submit your SASS part one you must now complete both SASS parts one and two using CSSIW Online. (External link) You are required by law to complete a self assessment and an annual review of the quality of care at your service.
You will not be able to complete SASS part two without firstly submitting your SASS part one.
